Students will revel in the spirit of the holiday, have an opportunity to strengthen their drawing skills, and learn how to properly color with color pencils andmarkers. We will draw a variety of Christmas imagery, like Santa Claus, Christmas themed cartoons, and caroling candles. We wrap up the final day with a big Christmas scene portraying gifts under the tree. Online Balloon Class 7 years & older Professional balloon artist Gary Kantor teaches children the techniques needed to take plain balloons and transform them into incredible balloon animals (like dogs, butterflies, fish, etc.). By watching the video, children will create their own balloon animals, with Gary walking them through each step in the process. This class isn’t just for the kids; parents will have a blast if they join the experience. Additionally, you can sign up again since each session makes different animals. (Note: you will need your own balloons and balloon pump. The pump and balloons cost about $13, and when you register, you will be given information on places to purchase these.) You’ll learn all about the proper ways to groom, tack and handle horses. In the saddle you will learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot. Lessons will be held in our indoor arena during inclement weather. The first day of class is orientation and groundwork. Riders should wear jeans or jodhpurs pants and hard-soled riding or hiking boots with a small, low heel. Bring an approved riding helmet or bicycle helmet. Children’s Theater Production 6-14 years Seussical KIDS weaves a story of friendship, loyalty and love. Despite all odds, Horton and Gertrude band together to save the Whos, free Horton and restore peace and unity to the Jungle of Nool. Seussical KIDS teaches us the power of being unique, and the importance of fighting for your beliefs. This is a tuition based program and all actors will be assigned parts based on their audition held on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022 . All participants will be asked to sing and read from the script. Students will study the work of the actor/singer/dancer and use their gained knowledge to develop as performers. Performances will take place on the weekend of Nov. 11-13. More details on performances will be provided as we approach performance weekend. Each actor will receive 2 free tickets. Others will be available for purchase at the Rakow Front Desk.
