Contemporary II 9-12 years A style of expressive dance combined with classical, jazz, and modern elements to connect the mind and body through movement. Students must also be enrolled in a ballet class. 44306-00 Sept. 7-Nov. 30* W/5:00-6:00 pm $117(R)/$137(NR) RA *No Class: 11/23 Contemporary III 11-18 years A style of expressive dance that is combined with classical, jazz, and modern elements to connect the body and mind through movement. Students will work on refining technique and per formance skills. Additional enrollment in Ballet is required for this class. 44307-00 Sept. 7-Nov. 30* W/6:00-7:00 pm $117(R)/$137(NR) RA *No Class: 11/23 Hip Hop 6-9 years Learn age-appropriate dance moves to upbeat music with an emphasis on rhythm and attitude. 44315-00 Sept. 7-Nov. 30* W/4:30-5:15 pm $108(R)/$128(NR) RA *No Class: 11/23 Mini Jazz 4-6 years Learn fun choreography to upbeat music and basic to interme diate leaps, turns, and jumps—a perfect class for those who like to dance. Prior experience dancing is helpful but not required. 44322-00 Sept. 10-Nov. 19 Sa/10:00-10:45 am $99(R)/$119(NR) RA Kinder Tap & Jazz 5-6 years In this energetic class, students will perfect their skills. Shuffles, Irish’s, flaps and other basic steps will be taught, as well as jazz steps and fun creative dances. One session of previous dance experience preferred. 44354-00 Sept. 12-Dec. 12 M/3:45-4:30 pm $108(R)/$128(NR) RA Tap & Jazz I 6-8 years This is an introduction to tap and jazz, focusing on the funda mental footwork and technique of tap and jazz dancing. This class is geared towards the dancer who has little to no dance training. Class begins with a center warm-up and progresses to steps across the floor, combinations and repetitive exercises, instilling a solid foundation for the beginner dancer. 44350-00 Sept. 12-Dec. 12* M/4:45-5:30 pm $108(R)/$128(NR) RA *No Class: 10/10, 11/21 Tap & Jazz II 8-19 years Dancers will develop a keen sense of rhythm and balance. This beginner/intermediate level class is appropriate for the dancer who has had some experience with tap and/or jazz dance and is looking to continue training. This class will build the devel opment of technique and terminology. Teen Tap 11-19 years This beginner/intermediate tap class is a great opportunity for those who have never danced or who are coming back into dance. Class begins with a center warm-up, progresses to across the floor combinations and then a center combination. This class will focus on the development of tap technique and terminology. 44353-00 Sept. 12-Dec. 12* M/8:00-9:00 pm $117(R)/$137(NR) RA *No Class: 10/10, 11/21 Advanced Jazz 12-18 years Dancers will be challenged and improve their jazz technique. New choreography will be taught. New routines will be pre formed at events in addition to the spring dance recital. Prior dance experience is required. Final class enrollment is up to the instructor’s discretion. 44356-00 Sept. 7-Nov. 30* W/7:00-8:00 pm $117(R)/$137(NR) RA *No Class: 11/23 Adult Beginner Tap 18 years & older This fun atmosphere will provide an introduction to tap, focusing on the fundamental footwork and techniques of tap dancing and rhythm. Routines will be taught. 44325-00 Sept. 6-Oct. 11 Tu/12:00-12:50 pm $28 RA 44325-01 Oct. 18-Nov. 22 Tu/12:00-12:50 pm $28 RA Adult Advanced Tap 18 years & older Advanced tap goes deeper into the details of footwork and rhythm combinations and still focuses on the technique behind the work.
