Dance

The Dundee Township Park District Dance Program has class offerings for two years and older. Styles of dance range from ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and pointe. Dance is offered year-round with new class sessions beginning in the winter, summer, and fall. The winter/spring session includes a dance recital that is typically held in May. We have classes for all abilities and welcome all to come dance with us!

Ballet III 12-18 years Redefining technique, the quality of movement and perfect ing skills will all be included in this class. Instructor approval required. 14312-00 Jan. 12-May 11* Th/6:45-8:00 pm $265(R)/$280(NR) RA *No Class: 3/30 Adult Ballet 16 years & older This class is good for the beginner through the experienced dancer. Dancers can work at their own pace. Come for fun! Come for exercise! 14323-00 Jan. 9-Feb. 13 M/7:00-8:00 pm $59(R)/$74(NR)* RA 14323-01 Feb. 20-April 3 M/7:00-8:00 pm $59(R)/$74(NR)* RA Adult Ballet Dance Performance 14323-02 April 3-May 8 M/8:00-8:30 pm $103(R)/$118(NR) RA *Costume fee for dance recital not included. Pre Pointe 8-18 years An introduction to Pointe. Students should also be enrolled in Ballet II or III. Readiness for pointe work is determined by each student’s strength and physical development, not by age. Ballet I 6-9 years Ballet is a base for all dance forms that instills grace and coordination.
