Dance

The Dundee Township Park District Dance Program has class offerings for two years and older. Styles of dance range from ballet, tap, jazz, street dance, contemporary and pointe. Dance is offered year-round with new class sessions beginning in the winter, summer, and fall. The winter/spring session includes a dance recital that is typically held in May. We have classes for all abilities and welcome all to come dance with us!

Preschool Ballet I 3-4 years Learn beginning ballet techniques, basic positions, form at the ballet barre and creative routines. 14300-00 Jan. 11-May 3* Sa/9:00-9:45 am $240(R)/$260(NR) RA 14300-01 Jan. 7-May 6* Tu/4:15-5:00 pm $255(R)/$275(NR) RA *No Class: 4/1, 4/5, 4/19 Kinder Ballet 5-6 years This class will emphasize beginning ballet techniques and positions. Ages serve as a guideline only. Dundee Township Park District reserves the right to place dancers in classes suitable to ability. Go to www.discountdance.com for required class attire. It is not necessary to purchase directly from this website, but colors of shoes and rec ommended attire will be shown for your convenience. The website will provide competitive pricing and purchasing convenience. On website click “Find My Teacher” and enter Teacher ID: 65469. On the line that says Available click Studio/Store Page. Once in the store, choose the class you are enrolled in and it will give the dress code and options you can choose from. Dance Recital • Saturday, May 10 Jacobs High School in Algonquin Rehearsal-Friday, May 9 • Photos-Monday, April 28 Picture check-in is at the Rakow Center - Adult Activities Center Costume fees are included unless otherwise noted. Adult Tap Levels I, II, or III do not have costume fees included in classes. Refunds for cancellations, after the first dance class, will be issued after the costume expenses have been paid. You will be notified once the costumes have arrived for pick up.
