Summer Guide 2026

Dance Supervisor: Stacey Teeple New class sessions begin in the winter, summer, and fall. The winter/spring session includes a dance recital that is held in May. Ages serve as a guideline only. Dundee Township Park District reserves the right to place dancers in classes suitable to ability.

Ballet (Preschool-Pointe) Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Students are taught proper body placement, body alignment, barre, and center-floor work, along with across-the-floor combinations. Contemporary (II & III) Contemporary dance encourages dancers to be versatile in their expressions and to be able to portray a wide array of movement styles and emotions. Jazz (Mini-Jazz) Jazz dance includes strength, flexibility, and con ditioning techniques and progressions including turns, kicks, and leaps. In a jazz class, the dancers also learn many fun and trendy dance steps that are used for all forms of dance. Street Dance (Kinder-III) In street dance, students will learn the basics of popping and locking, voguing, and start to learn the basics of breakdancing/hip hop. Adult Tap Exercise in a fun atmosphere. Learn tap technique and fundamental footwork. Challenge your brain and your feet learning rhythm combinations in routines. All levels welcome.

Dance Camps

Crafty Dancers Camp 5-7 years Your child will get moving with the basics of creative dance and ballet. Crafts will also be included, allowing each child to explore their creativity.
