Zoo-per Heroes & Wild Villains • May 3 Spend the day at the zoo in a galaxy far, far away. • Wear your best hero or villain costume • 1:00 pm: Watch animal ambassadors interact with your favorite characters • Create your own laser sword • Train like a warrior in our custom-built arena Wild Market at the Zoo • June 7-August 9 Sundays, 9:00 am-2:00 pm • Open-air market featuring local makers, artists & small businesses • Shop handmade goods, unique gifts & wildlife-themed finds • Family-friendly experience • Vendor spaces: $10 • Contact Sara Peters at (847) 551-4310 x5003 or speters@dtpd.org to book a space Summer Nights at the Zoo • June 12 & July 25 Discover what the animals do in the evening. 5:00-8:00 pm • Pack a picnic dinner & enjoy desserts for sale • Live music • S’mores for sale • Bonfire • Special animal encounters • Games • Animal enrichment building stations • Free face painting • 6:00 pm: Animal show • Raffle baskets Pollinatorpallooza • June 20 Enjoy a full day of pollinator fun & education • Taste local honey • Learn all about beekeeping • Play pollinator-themed games • Take home native wildflower seeds • Make creative headbands Father’s Day • June 21 Free Zoo admission for all Fathers, with the purchase of a child’s admission.

Fireworks | June 27 Community Event • 6:00-9:00 pm Fireworks * • 9:30 Concerts in the Park Tuesdays • 7:00-8:30 pm June 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30, July 7, 14, 21 & 28 See Back Cover for Concert Lineup and Park Locations Enjoy the best fireworks show in the area! Prior to the show, join us for a community event with entertainment, food vendors, and community partners. Note: Closed-toed shoes are required for the climbing tree structure.
