Skateboard Lessons 5-13 years Appropriate for beginning and intermediate levels. Beginners learn how to start, stop, turn, basic ramp riding, and tricks; intermediate skaters learn skills based on ability. Skaters must bring a drink and wear a helmet. Knee, elbow, and wrist guards are encouraged. No board, no problem. We can lend you one for class. Email sk8lessonschicago@gmail.com if you would like to use one. Contractual

Fourth of July Cookies ‘n Crafts 3-6 years Join us for a class to celebrate America’s birthday! We will start our time together making some great red, white, and blue crafts for the holiday. After crafting, we will be decorating some cook ies using lots of patriotic colors! We will wrap up the evening enjoying our cookies while listening to Fourth of July stories. 34198-00 June 24 W/6:30-7:45 pm $18(R)/$22(NR) RA 3-6 years Kids, do you want to surprise that special person with a great gift for Father’s Day? Join us during this one-time class to make a keepsake present that they are sure to love. When we finish our gift, we will wrap them and create a one-of-a kind card! 34199-00 June 10 W/6:30-7:45 pm $18(R)/$23(NR) RA Glitzy Girlz-Summer Neon Dance Glam Night 4-10 years Join Glitzy Girlz for a bright night of NEON summer fun! Kids will get made up with a neon bandana hair wrap, makeup, and nail polish, decorate a neon drawstring bag, and create a beaded anklet with a summer charm. We’ll finish with dancing under neon lights and fun photo ops. Each child leaves with a summer glam goodie bag. Staff will be glamming up the girls with a flower hair accessory, sparkle makeup, polished nails and stickers, decorate a tropical craft, and make a beaded bracelet with Hawaiian charms. Each participant receives a lei and skirt for fun photos. We’ll end with Maraca Freeze Dance and Limbo. 5-13 years Boost your child’s intellect with the royal game of chess! Studies show chess supports academic growth, focus, motivation, social skills, and creativity. Each class includes an engaging lesson and guided practice. Beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn strategies and skills with support from an experi enced Chess Scholars coach. This engaging program builds cre ativity, confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to help spark their interest in computer science. Topics include video game design, loops, control structures, conditionals, variables, data structures, and basic object-oriented concepts - preparing young coders for 21st-century learning.
