Isshinryu Karate 5 years & older The Isshinryu Karate program has been offered through the DTPD since 1975. We offer a versatile martial art that builds con fidence, discipline, and practical self-defense in a fun, supportive environment. These classes are ideal for all ages and experience, using traditional Okinawan techniques to improve balance, coor dination, and focus, while also developing effective self-defense skills. Pagoda Martial Arts System 13 years & older The Pagoda System is a unique blend of several martial arts styles aimed at providing a complete system covering all ranges of self-defense. This program was developed for teens and adults to gain practical self-defense skills, physical fitness, and confi dence in their ability to protect themselves. All classes are taught by Dr. Jeremy Butler, Shihan, who is a 5th degree black belt in the Pagoda System with over 20 years of teaching experience. Classes will include basic defense, strikes, joint locks, takedowns, and ground techniques. Beginners are encouraged to register. Kodokan Judo 7 years & older In Kodokan Judo and learn how to fall, throw, control, and apply pins and submissions while building confidence, discipline, and resilience in a supportive training environment. Shotokan www.iskc.com • (847) 359-0666 • Contractual Illinois Shotokan Karate Club is Chicagoland’s premier karate school taught under the instruction of John DiPasquale, a four-time National Champion and President of the American Shotokan Karate Association. Youth and Adult classes train together. PreKarate Safety-4-6 years Young children develop flexibility, strength and coordination in fun, yet disciplined activities. This program is specifically designed for growing minds and bodies to enhance memory and agility. Watch your child’s confidence blossom and their skills improve. Karate-7 years & older ISKC ’s karate classes offers a good mix of strength training with cardiovascular and flexibility exercises. Students increase their coordination, agility and poise, as well as learn the choreographed moves of the kata and the discipline of conforming to the class rules.
