TOP Spot Sport exploration and training. Developing athletes & leaders. Cheer. Tumbling. Sports. All athletes are assessed to ensure accu racy of technique and safety to decrease the potential long term risk of injury. Adult participation needed for those under 4 years. Totletics Supported Play 6 months-2 years with parent Supported play provides a safe environment for your littlest totlete to explore, take risks, and have fun all while learning body awareness, motor development and social skills. Totletes and caregivers will explore various activities to greater impact skill development. This class allows for various levels of ability and participation, providing an environment where all Totletes can play and grow. Totletes will gain skills, confidence, and have fun! The following skills will be reviewed: beginner tumbling, motions, cheers, age appropriate stunting, hot to hold mom poms, body and spatial awareness, social skills, turn taking, and following directions. Each week Totletes will explore a new sport and learn various skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, running, turn taking, following directions and social skills. Lacrosse, soccer, flag football and tumbling may be explored. Your Totlete will explore modified game play, giving the child a chance to apply their newly acquired skills in a fun and supportive environment. Beginning Tumbling - TOP Spot 4-18 years Beginner tumbling is great for athletes that are just starting out with tumbling, self-taught, or looking to perfect skills for cheer. During assessments Coach’s will determine what skill level athlete are at to ensure they are in the correct level tumbling class. Skill assessment includes: forward & backward roll, hand stand (floor & wall) 10 seconds, standing bridge 5 seconds with kickover to lunge, handstand to bridge with stand up, handstand to 1 leg bridge with 1 leg kickover, standing bridge, cartwheel (straight line), roundoff, power hurdle and 2 step hurdle into roundoff. During assessments Coach’s will determine what skill level the athletes are at to ensure they are in the correct level tumbling class. Skills taught include: front & back walkover 1 arm cartwheel, standing back handspring, standing 2 back handsprings, roundoff, back handspring roundoff, 2 back hand springs, multiples - standing and running. Contractual 24195-00 April 2-23 Tu/4:00-4:50 pm $68(R)/$88(NR) TOP 24195-01 May 7-28 Tu/4:00-4:50 pm $68(R)/$88(NR) TOP 6-18 years Advanced tumbling is great for athletes who want to continue to perfect their tumbling technique and gain new skills. During assessments Coach’s will determine what skill level the athletes are at to ensure they are in the correct level tumbling class. Skills taught include: Back handspring step out, standing back handspring series 3X, running back handspring tuck, standing tuck, standing 2 back handspring to tuck, standing 1 back hand spring to tuck, running back handspring layout, standing 2 back handspring to layout, standing one back handspring to layout, running full/back handspring full, specialty passes (running and standing). The skills include tumbling, jumps, motions and stunting. Throughout the class, safety will be prioritized and participants will receive guidance from experienced coaches who understand the unique needs and abilities of each age group. The class aims to provide a well-rounded exposure to the components of cheer, allowing potential cheerleaders to develop a foundation of skills and discover their interests and strengths within the sport.
