Magic 101 5-12 years Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn a collection of fascinating and mesmerizing tricks from the “Magic Team of Gary Kantor!” Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more. All materials are provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn age-appropriate tricks. Additionally, you can sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are always taught at each session! Contractual 14181-00 Feb. 27 M/7:00-7:55 pm $22(R)/$32(NR) RA Online Magic Class 5-12 years Professional magician Gary Kantor teaches children how to perform a number of mind-boggling tricks using everyday household items. Gary will start by explaining the secrets to the tricks, and then both Gary and the children will practice everything in great detail. The children will have a blast as they learn exactly what to say and do when performing in front of an audience. Since this class is online, it can be taken whenever it is convenient for your schedule. The video can be watched again and again. Your entire family can even take this class together! Be sure to sign up for this class again since new tricks are taught each session. (When you register, you will be told the household items that are needed for the class.) Contractual 14183-00 Jan. 2-Feb. 6 45-minute video $13(R)/$23(NR) Virtual 14183-01 Feb. 13-March 20 45-minute video $13(R)/$23(NR) Virtual Actors will learn the elements of being in a full theater production (acting, singing, choreography, and stage direction) by being cast in the musical “The Music Man,” based on Meredith Willson’s six-time Tony Award winning musical comedy. It has some of musical theater’s most iconic songs and a story filled with wit, warmth, and good old-fashioned ro mance. This is a tuition-based program, where all actors are as signed parts based on their auditions. Auditions will be held on the first night of class and all participants will be asked to sing and read from the script. Actors will be provided with a script. Rehearsals will take place on Thursday evenings once a week. Tech week will take place the week of March 6. Each Actor will receive two free tickets. Kids Cooking Camp 4-12 years This cooking camp has the option to meet on ZOOM or in person. Each week we will make a different recipe: banana foster French toast, hot chocolate bombs, pizza, pretzels, holiday favorites or Nigerian meat pie. An ingredient/supply list will be provided to virtual participants or you can purchase an ingredient kit that can be picked up prior to the class. All in person participants will be provided with an ingredient kit and recipe card. New recipes are offered at each camp session.
