Young Rembrandts-Weekly Drawing Class- for Homeschoolers 6-12 years This winter, Young Rembrandts students will beat the blues with bold lines, bright colors, and big imagination! Jan. features Win ter Birdhouses and a Sporty Snowboarder. Feb. brings Penguins and a fun twist on American Gothic. In March, they’ll draw a Graceful Swan and Line Art Owl. Perfect for beginners and budding artists alike, students will giggle and create all season long. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Students will learn songs and create characters from the story, including the kind Charlie Bucket, the spoiled Veruca Salt, and the observant Oompa Loompas. This is a tuition-based program, where all actors are assigned parts based on their auditions. Students will study the work of the actor/singer/dancer and use their gained knowledge to develop as performers. Rehearsals will take place on Thursday evenings once a week. Tech week will take place the week of March 16 - 19. Fee includes a T-shirt for the actor and 2 free tickets. Additional tickets will be available for purchase at the Rakow Center front desk. Tickets sold at the door the day of performance if available. International Cooking Club 8-15 years Pop in for the cooking club. Join us for one session or all three sessions. Each week we will make different dishes and focus on different cuisines from around the world, such as crepes, Nigerian meat pie, chin chin, egg rolls, homemade pasta, etc. All participants will be provided an ingredient kit and a recipe card. New recipes are offered each week.
