Take a trip with the Dundee Township Park District and meet some new friends along the way! Adults 50+ years are invited to enjoy trips together to enjoy new experiences, special events, restaurants, performances, and some overnight trips to exciting locations. We often explore the city of Chicago, suburban areas, and even nearby states. Our trips happen year-round, so take a look and get ready to explore with us! * Please arrive a half hour prior to the start time listed. Buses and Park District vans will depart on time! M=50+ Club Member | NM= Non 50+ Club Member Fiddler on the Roof Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story of Tevye and his five daughters has been touching audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth, and honesty for generations. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill in them traditional values in the face of political and social change in Czarist Russia. Rich in historical detail, Fiddler on the Roof’s universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality, and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy, and sadness. Palatine will be joining us. Due to the timing of the show, no lunch is included in this trip. Please consider brown bagging a lunch and eating at the Adult Activities Center. 19549-00 Feb. 7 W/11:15 am-5:45 pm $90(M)/$98(NM) RAAC Q-Casino and Mississippi River Museum This trip includes a one night stay at the beautiful Hilton Garden Inn at Q-Casino for some fun and gambling. On the way, we will have a fantastic lunch and then spend the evening enjoying the casino and the amenities (indoor pool, fitness room). There will be a food discount voucher for your dinner that evening and the casino offers some free play. On the second day, enjoy a breakfast buffet at the casino. After that, we are off to discover everything you want to know about the Mighty Mississippi. You can take your time enjoying the Mississippi Museum and have lunch on your own at the café onsite. If we are lucky, we might see a few eagles over the Mississippi River. Payment in full is due at registration. You cannot register for this trip online. You must come to the Adult Activities Center to register. Three weeks prior to the trip, you will receive a packet with an emergency form and a waiver to fill out. You will also receive an itinerary with your departure time and other pertinent instructions. Currently, departure time is approximately 9:30 am.
