Ballet III 12-18 years Redefining technique, the quality of movement and perfecting skills will all be included in this class. Students should also be enrolled in Ballet II or III. Readiness for pointe work is determined by each student’s strength and physical development, not by age. Instructors will notify parents and students when they have the necessary strength and maturity to go on to pointe. 14304-00 Jan. 9-May 7* Tu/6:00-6:15 pm $57(R)/$77(NR) RA *No Class: 3/26 Pointe I 12-18 years Students must have prior ballet experience and be enrolled in Ballet III. This class will include barre exercises, across the floor combination and center work. 14309-00 Jan. 9-May 7* Tu/7:30-8:00 pm $170(R)/$190(NR) RA *No Class: 3/26 Contemporary II 9-12 years A style of expressive dance combined with classical, jazz, and modern elements to connect the mind and body through movement. Students must also be enrolled in a ballet class. 14306-00 Jan. 10-May 8* W/5:00-6:00 pm $260(R)/$280(NR) RA *No Class: 3/27 Contemporary III 11-18 years An expressive dance style combined with classical, jazz, and modern elements connects the body and mind through movement. Students will work on refining their technique and performance skills. The Dundee Township Park District Dance Program has class offerings for two years and older. Styles of dance range from ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary and pointe. Dance is offered year-round with new class sessions beginning in the winter, summer, and fall. The winter/spring session includes a dance recital that is typically held in May. We have classes for all abilities and welcome all to come dance with us! Recommended attire and shoe colors are shown for your convenience at discountdance.com. The website provides competitive pricing and purchasing convenience. It is not necessary to purchase directly from this website. On the website, do a “Find My Teacher” and enter Teacher ID# 65469. On the line that says “Avail able,” click the studio/store page. Once in the store, choose the class you are in for dress code options. Preschool Ballet I 3-4 years Learn beginning ballet techniques, basic positions, form at the ballet barre and creative routines. 14300-00 Jan. 6-May 4* Sa/9:00-9:45 am $207(R)/$227(NR) RA *No Class: 2/10, 2/17, 3/2, 3/30 Kinder Ballet 5-6 years This class will emphasize beginning ballet techniques and positions. Creative routines and form at the ballet barre will be taught. 14302-00 Jan. 6-May 4* Sa/11:00-11:45 am $212(R)/$232(NR) RA *No Class: 2/10, 2/17, 3/2, 3/30 Ballet I 6-9 years Ballet is a base for all dance forms that instills grace and coor dination. This class will include proper placement, barre work, and center work. 14303-00 Jan. 6-May 4* Sa/12:00-1:00 pm $224(R)/$244(NR) RA *No Class: 2/10, 2/17, 3/2, 3/30 Ballet II 9-12 years Proper placement and control to execute ballet moves will be included.
