International Cooking Club 8-15 years Join us for one session or all 3 sessions. Each week we will make different dishes and focus on different cuisines from around the world. (Crepes, Nigerian Meat Pie, Spring Rolls, Churros, Chin Chin, Egg rolls homemade pasta etc.) Ingredient kit and a recipe card included. New recipes are offered each week. Youth Theater - Beauty and The Beast, Jr. 7-14 years Will Belle teach the Beast to love and be loved? And will his curse be broken to save him and his household? This is a tui tion-based program, where all actors are assigned parts based on their auditions. Students will study the work of the actor/ singer/dancer and use their gained knowledge to develop as performers. Additional tickets will available for purchase at the Rakow front desk closer to the performance. Fee includes a T-shirt for the actor. Tech Week: October 14-17. Tuesday class meets from 6:30-8:00 pm, and Thursday class meets 5:00-6:30 pm. The Sound of Music has enchanted audiences for more than 50 years. This all-ages production will feature adult and youth performers in a full-scale production on the Adult Activities Center stage. This is a tuition-based program. Parts will be assigned and actors will enroll following auditions. Additional tickets will available for purchase at the Rakow front desk closer to the performance. Auditions: Auditions will be held Sunday, July 28 at the Dundee Township Park District, Adult Activities Center. Please arrive for auditions at 1:00 pm. Be prepared to stay until 4:00 pm. Please prepare an excerpt (no more than 32 measures) from a song of your choice and bring a recording of your accompa niment. If you are auditioning for Maria, Captain Von Trapp, or Mother Abbess, please prepare a song from the show. You may be asked to read from the script. In this one-time class, participants will learn valuable tips and tricks to nail their next audition. Whether preparing for their first audition or 100th audition, participants will come away with practical skills to enhance their performance quality. The workshop will focus on singing and acting skills. Please prepare 16 bars of a song of your choice (which is usually equiv alent to about 30 seconds) and send a link for accompaniment to steeple@dtpd.org. Horsemanship for Kids 9-15 years Participants will explore the proper ways to groom, tack, and handle horses. In the saddle, you will learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot. Lessons will be held in our indoor arena during inclement weather. Riders should wear jeans or Jodhpurs pants and hard-soled riding or hiking boots with a small, low heel. Bring an approved riding helmet or bicycle helmet. Students will learn Spanish grammar and commu nication skills that will give them a strong foundation for high school Spanish. Taught by Language in Action, Inc. instructor. Zoom login information will be emailed to participants before the first class.
