Acorn Jr. League 5-8 years Each week, a different teaching topic will be discussed. Some of these topics will be based on technique, while others will be based on rules and etiquette. Once the instruction is complete, participants will play golf on the Links and Acorn short courses. Juniors will be put into different groups each week, and they will have the chance to win prizes individually and for their group. Women’s Intro To Golf This program is centered on fundamental elements of the game making it perfect for beginning players and players with moder ate experience. We know the game of golf can be intimidating. Through this program, our PGA Professional staff will not only teach you the proper technique, we will put you at ease with all elements of the game. We will show you where to go when you arrive, which clubs you should use, the etiquette you should follow, how to drive a golf cart, etc. It is our goal to provide a memorable experience and a fun learning environment for all involved. We recommend you wear gym shoes if you do not own a pair of golf shoes. No sandals, please. Jr. Clinic

5-13 years

This program is centered on the game’s fundamental elements, making it perfect for beginning players and players with moderate experience. Instruction is led by our PGA Professional staff and focuses on putting, chipping, and full swings with irons and woods. Day 3 of each session is our play day where juniors can gain on-course experience. It is recom mended that participants bring a driver, iron, and putter to each class.

U13 Oaks PGA Jr. League 9-13 years* Different rules, etiquette, course management, or skills will be discussed. Some weeks juniors work purely on skill develop ment, while other weeks they will have supervised on-course play. Players in this league will have official matches held in the evening. These matches will be contested against other teams within the Oaks PGA Junior Golf League. Players will have an opportunity to make the “All-Star” team based on their perfor mance. The best “All-Star” team in the Midwest competes against the best teams in the country in the PGA Junior League National Championship in the Fall of 2026. Fees include: golf, team shirt and hat, staff supervision, facility usage, and prizes. * Participants cannot be 14 prior to 8/1. A skills assessment is on 5/19 and 5/21 to place juniors on their teams prior to the first official practice. Golf staff will reach out in May to set up the skills assessment times. DTPD Spring Cup – Saturday, April 4 10:00 am Shotgun – Randall Oaks Golf Club The DTPD Spring Cup is a Ryder Cup team formatted Scramble event with handicaps. A great way to kick off that Winter rust! Format: Three Person Scramble with USGA Handicap. Three-player teams will play on larger "Ryder Cup" style teams.
