Summer Camps Specialty

Nature Explorers Summer Camp 9-15 years Become a friend of the Fox River and the plants and animals that reside in the watershed. Learn about your place in nature through exploration of the Schweitzer Woods Forest Preserve in West Dundee. Activities will include discovering the similarities and differences of various soils, fungi, plants and the wide vari ety of insects, aquatic organisms, birds, reptiles, mammals that reside in the ecosystems on the site. In addition to the fun and authentic scientific investigations will be activities to better un derstand the native peoples, early settlers and current cultures' relationship with the natural environment.
